Dillard lands pair of Top-5 finishes with World of Outlaws up North

Following the World of Outlaws North, Cade Dillard made the haul to Independence (Iowa) Motor Speedway on Monday afternoon for the $10,000-to-win Storm Shield Shootout.

Among 27 Super Late Models, Dillard missed the setup in qualifying before finishing fourth in his heat race. Starting 12th in the 40-lap feature, Cade charged through the competition and placed inside the Top-5 in fourth.

With a quick turnaround to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) on Tuesday, Dillard started seventh in the A-Main but recorded a DNF after breaking a driveshaft.

After an off-day on Wednesday, the team rolled into I-94 Speedway (Fergus Falls, Minn.) on Thursday before rain showers washed out the evening.

The following night at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.) was also rained out and postponed to Sunday, June 30th.

Finally avoiding the rain on Saturday, Dillard charged from 11th-to-5th in the $15,000-to-win feature at Norman County Raceway (Ada, Minn.) to score another Top-5 finish.

Finishing off the week at River Cities Speedway (Grand Forks, N.D.) on Sunday, Cade crawled his way out of a hole to transfer through a last chance showdown. In the 40-lap feature, Dillard made up six spots to finish 13th.

Dillard is currently third in the series point standings.
